L'olivier d'hommage à Ilan Halimi abattu. La classe politique française, unie, dénonce

(FILES) The rabbin of Le Raincy, Moshe Lewin (C) plants a tree with the great rabbi of France Gilles Bernheim (3rdL) and Le Raincy's mayor Eric Raoult (L) on January 19, 2011 in Le Raincy, northern suburb of Paris, as part of a ceremony in homage to Ilan Halimi, a 23-year-old Jewish Frenchman who was brutally murdered in 2006. French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou on August 15, 2025, condemned an act of "anti-Semitic hatred" after a memorial tree planted in tribute to a young French Jewish man tortured to death in 2006 had been cut down outside Paris. On January 20, 2006, 23-year-old Ilan Halimi, was kidnapped by a gang of youths and tortured in a housing estate in the Paris suburb of Bagneux. Found three weeks later, he died on the way to hospital. BERTRAND LANGLOIS / AFP
