Louvre : un audit de sécurité oublié, “consternant” pour un député

A person stands behind the window from where entered the thieves who stole eight priceless royal pieces of jewellery from the Louvre Museum the day before, in Paris on October 20, 2025. The thieves arrived between shortly after the museum opened to the public at 9:00 am. They used a truck with an extendable ladder to get access to the Apollo Gallery, home to the royal collection, and cutting equipment to get in through a window and open the display cases. The Louvre will remain closed for a second day running on October 20. JULIEN DE ROSA / AFP
