(260903) -- GANZHOU, Sept. 3, 2026 (Xinhua) -- The quadruplets take a bus heading for Chongyi County in Ganzhou City, east China's Jiangxi Province, Aug. 31, 2026. Wu Nianyou, a farmer in Shangbao Village of Ganzhou City, and his wife Deng Dinglan saw their quadruplet daughters come to the world in 2010. They named their daughters Wu Mengting, Wu Mengling, Wu Mengyun and Wu Mengqin. With the help of the local government and society, the couple managed to raise their four daughters, and their lives have been improved gradually. In 2016, Wu constructed a three-story house. By 2019, the family had shaken off poverty. The local government provides subsistence allowances to all five children including the quadruplets' younger brother, while a company in the county covers essential educational expenses for the quadruplets. In 2026, the quadruplets secured admission to Chongyi High School and the Secondary Specialized School of Chongyi through their own hard work. Three of the girls were accepted by Chongyi High School, where the school arranged them to share one dormitory to make it easier for them to take care of each other. As the new semester started, Deng Dinglan accompanied the quadruplets for their school enrollment procedures, while Wu Nianyou missed this important moment for his daughters as he had to stay on the job to sustain the family's livelihood. Wu obtained his loader operator certification in 2025 and now works at a new energy company in the county. Deng said that the quadruplets' academic achievements attributed to not only their own efforts, but also the supports from all sides. She and her husband would go all out to fund their daughters' education, hoping they can realize their college dreams and embrace a more wonderful life. (Xinhua/Wan Xiang)
